there's a light inside us all.

First off, I'm no expert, I just love portrait photography and this image really struck me from the first viewing. Initially I was seriously impressed by the close cropping which focuses the viewers attention on the models' face which is further framed by the fall of her hair. To add to the impact is the beautiful defocussed background which again, concentrates the viewers' attention on the model and the natural colour of the entire image. That's the technical bit, but technique doesn't make a good image! There's an inherant emotion about this shot; the models' downcast look and contemplative demenour. Taking every aspect of the shot in their entirety, from the technical to the asthetic, this is a tremendous piece of art. As I said, I'm no expert but I know a great photograph when I see one. Both the photographer and the model are to be congratulated for creating something a bit special.
